If you're affiliated with an accounting firm, our US Tax tool enables you to electronically sign tax forms with ease. Here's a step-by-step guide for creating, sending, and signing US tax forms:
Creating & Sending a US tax form (owners, admins, co-workers)
>Setting Up Security Questions for Clients:
1. Navigate to "US Tax" and select "Settings" from the side menu bar.
2. To add security questions for your clients, choose "ADD VERIFICATION QUESTION."
3. Select "SETUP ANSWERS" to set up answers to these questions for all your clients before sending forms for them to sign. This process ensures the security of the e-signing process.
>Managing Tax Cases:
1. Go to "US Tax" and click on "Case Management" on the side menu bar.
2. The "My Worklist" tab displays cases requiring your action, and you can view all cases in the "All Cases" tab.
>Creating Tax Cases:
To create a new tax case, click the "+ NEW TAX CASE" button. You can start from an existing template if available, or select "NEW TAX CASE FROM SCRATCH."
1. Fill in the necessary information, including return details, clients for signing, and co-workers to CC.
2. Attach all relevant PDF files related to the tax case. For documents requiring a signature, be sure to upload in the second slot.
Upon clicking "UPLOAD AND SCAN," the system should automatically detect the form. If not, you can manually label it by specifying the number of pages and the form code.
3. Choose another user to review the case before sending it to the client.
Click "CONFIG COVER LETTER" to make any necessary adjustments to the cover letter that will be sent to the signer(s).
You can select yourself as the reviewer.
4. After the reviewer validates the case from their "My Worklist" tab, you can proceed to send it to the client.
Signing a US tax form
To sign US tax forms, you can utilize our mobile app, available in both the App Store and Google Play Store. Follow these steps:
1. Go to the "More" tab, click "Tools", and select the "US Tax" icon.
2. You'll find all your tax cases here. Click "Tax Forms for Signature" to sign the form.
Click on the esign section to sign.
Answer the security questions.
Read & agree to the esign consent.
Review the form, and click the bottom button to sign.
Sign on your mobile phone, select the date, and complete the process.
